We are proud to announce the official launch of the new Big Sky Direct website and a full rebrand of our visual identity. This is not a refresh. It is not a coat of paint over something old. It is the first time our brand has looked the way it has always felt, grounded, confident, and built to protect.
Why Now
When we started Big Sky, we were focused on one thing: building a product that actually worked for families. We went door to door. We explained whole life insurance at kitchen tables across Montana. We earned trust the old fashioned way, by showing up. The brand we operated under was functional. It got the job done. But it never quite captured the character of the company behind it.
As we have grown, expanded to over a dozen states, and launched products like ScholarGuard and Family Protector, we kept hearing the same thing from the families we serve. They trusted us immediately, not because of how we looked, but because of how we showed up. We decided it was time the two things matched.
What Changed
The new identity is built around a mark that earns its meaning. The shield at the center of our logo stands for exactly what we do, protect families. But look closer and you will see the Montana landscape inside it, mountain ridges rising toward a sun, a nod to the state that shaped everything about how we operate. Below it the Montana sky opens up in every direction. That is not an accident. Protection and possibility have always lived together at Big Sky, and now they live together in our mark.
The wordmark is warm and confident without being stiff. The palette stays rooted in the greens of the Montana landscape. The voice across the new site is plain, direct, and honest, because that is how we have always talked to people and we see no reason to change that now.
What Has Not Changed
Everything that made Big Sky worth trusting is exactly where you left it. The same team. The same products. The same commitment to showing up in person, explaining things in plain language, and never putting a sale above your family’s future.
We are still Montana’s first domiciled life insurance company in over fifty years. We are still run by the same people who believed in this from day one. We still answer the phone. We still come to you.
